Caring for two small babies is no small feat! As someone who enjoys being super productive, I’ve had to learn the dance between simply being with my sweet boys + springing into action. Mainly, cleaning bottles + laundry - ha! But more seriously, movement. Movement is ingrained in my daily life + I was determined to keep this going — even in motherhood.
Coming out of the hospital experience with Jacob left me completely drained — mind, body + soul. It took every ounce of my energy to show up as a mom, wife, daughter, sister + friend. I wanted to retreat but the unconditional love of motherhood whispered stronger to my heart.
It can be very easy to roll over when life gets difficult. I find that when we are faced with extreme challenges + trauma, we learn, grow + adapt. I had to dig + dig to find my deepest layer of resilience. I knew it was there. I found it 11 years ago when I beat cancer twice. It just had to be dusted off + polished.
I’m back to teaching 4x / week — 3x on Instagram Live (M/W @ 6p + F @ 12p) + 1x training a private client via FaceTime. It feels good, really good. Teaching gives me life. It provides me a sense of community + connection. So there’s me springing into action teaching beautiful souls who show up for themselves. And there I am simply being with my boys. They are growing + changing each day / week + it’s pretty magical. The smiles + snuggles give me such joy.
Cheers to the lifelong dance between “being” + “action” — you in? :)
PS, I am continuing to update Jacob’s CaringBridge page if you’re curious on how he is progressing.
